K + B

A couple weeks back, Brian and Karla were married at The Oregon Golf Club. The venue was amazing and everyone was so friendly, but what set this apart was the way the wedding was "branded." Everywhere you looked you'd see "K+B" in black and white. I mean everywhere...water bottles, menus, place cards, the guestbook, ceremony programs...everywhere. Can you tell I get excited about that kind of thing? It was a good reminder for anyone in business for themselves. To whom could I be referring? ;)

Brian and Karla, your wedding was awesome! It was great to see so many young and lively people there having a great time. It's a true testament to who you are. :)

Brett & Bridget Get Married

I met Brett and Bridget at another wedding earlier this year. Brett was a cousin of one of my previous clients, and Bridget works with another past client. This was definitely a time to say "it's a small world." It was really cool to see so many familiar faces!

The wedding was in The Oregon Garden outside of Salem. I think you could shoot there a hundred times and still not see the same thing twice. Okay...maybe not a hundred. ;)

Brett and Bridget, you two were so easy to hang out with. Thanks for making it that way! I hope your married life is better than you ever imagined!

My Birthday.

So today is my birthday. I've never been comfortable announcing my birthday in hopes of seeing what people would do for it, so I feel a bit wierd even mentioning it here. But today was perfect! And it was perfect because of what some close friends and family are doing for me.

My cousin called some of my closest friends together to celebrate over dinner and some heated competion over the pool table. Admittedly, a couple drinks were involved as well, but nothing detrimental. ;) I didn't have to lift a finger and yet, I got to spend the night laughing and cutting loose because others cared enough to make sure I took advantage of that kind of opportunity. THANK YOU ALL THAT CAME! It meant so much.

My sister has also planned a night tomorrow with some great homemade cooking (which, for those of you that know me well enough, is quite rare). I can't wait to hang out with her and the fam to continue the celebration.

Mallory & Ty

It's been so long since I posted that many of you probably think I haven't been shooting. SO not true! :) Mallory, Ty and I went out to Silver Falls State Park a couple weeks ago for their engagement photos. I knew it would be quite a drive (especially when your car is on the verge of overheating because the dealership forgot to reconnect the radiator fan), but it was worth every mile!

We explored the open landscape after resurfacing from an expedition deep in the canyon where the falls are. It wasn't nearly like being Teddy Roosevelt in the Amazon, but in my head it was pretty close. Yes, I have a wild imagination.

Ty...Mallory...that was fun and I wanted to say thanks for trekking out there with me! I'm excited to see what photos we can get for you at your wedding.

Corvette_04

In Memorium.

A few years back my Dad owned a Corvette. Yes, past tense. Totaled in an accident. Fortunately, I had taken it out for a photoshoot (and one last spin..shhh) one night when I was visiting home in Klamath Falls. It was a beautiful night and I found the perfect spot at the edge of the lake for these photos. Anyway, I thought you might enjoy them so here they are!
