A couple weeks ago, I shot Taylor & Rachel's wedding. It took me by surprise in so many ways.

The location was one that you wish you had an entire day to shoot around the area. Taylor's family has the most incredible property where they have horses and every cool thing that goes along with spending your leisure time at home. The kids had a blast with the putting green. I checked out the stables and saw so many shots...unfortunately, in the dirt, which tends not to mix so well with a wedding dress. We did manage to get down to the stream that meanders through the place and that provided some great photo opps.

Brian Beazely helped out and did a wonderful job. I was SO happy with how hard he worked to help me cover such a large area. Thanks! The last photo is his and there will hopefully be more from Brian on his blog soon.

Taylor...Rachel...your wedding was an absolute pleasure to shoot. In fact, I've never seen a more relaxed bride before the wedding. Your beauty pageants taught you well for this sort of thing. :)

I've thought many times about my favorite parts of what I do, and every time it comes down to the people I meet along the way. It's always fun getting a glimpse at so many different people. I was always worried that living in Portland, I would lose the small town feel I grew up with. You know, the one where you can run into people you know when you're out and about. It's been a blast running into clients and their guests just about anywhere. Anyway, it happened yet again this week in a coffee shop and it was great! :)

A couple weeks ago every photographer in town was busy. Can you guess the date these two were married? :) These are some shots from Chris and Jen's wedding on 7/7/07.

After the wedding these two invited me along to the bar where Chris works. I found that he gets a good price break on drinks. Danger! hah We all had a lot of fun.
